School Counseling Graduate Student
Personal Mission:
I plan to approach School Counseling with a holistic lens to support students in academic success, career and college readiness and social/emotional development. As a school counselor, I will work to create school a safe, fun and educational environment, by advocating for all students. Through individual, group, and school wide programs, the students will be able to tune into their strengths, problem solve and empower their own decision making. I will prioritize building rapport with each student by meeting them where they are at, in order to provide realistic, goal oriented support and mentorship. Education: I am currently attending Seattle Pacific University to receive my Masters in Education for School Counseling, which will enable me to seek out a license in School Counseling. This program is CACREP Accredited meaning that its content and quality have been evaluated and meet the standards of the Comprehensive School Counseling Profession. I am set to graduate spring of 2024 with knowledge and skill training, assuring my preparedness for the role. I have received my Bachelors degree in Humanities for Leadership with a Specialization in Cultural Anthropology from Seattle University in June of 2018. Experience: Before pursing school counseling I was working with youth in both Mental Health and Educational settings. My biggest professional accomplishments thus far are:
